How do I bring my godson to the United States?

Can I bring my godson to the United States? He is 26 years old, single, with a child of 2 years old. His dad died in 2006. He is studying to become a criminal lawyer abroad. I would like to help him come to the United States. Please help me with some information on how.

Unfortunately a godson relationship is not one which permits a family petition but there may be other visa options from which he could benefit but there is no way of knowing without a detailed consultation on his skills, education, work experience, etc.

You cannot petition for your godson to receive lawful permanent status. U.S. immigration law only allows certain family members and employers to petition for immigration benefits. Your godson may be eligible for some other non-immigrant visa such as a student visa if he studying or a non-immigrant employment based visa, but we would need additional information to assess the matter.
